The following chart shows how a child spent his pocket money over a weekend. The child spent his pocket money on 4 different things which are ice-cream, movie, dinner and shirt.
The child spent the most money on dinner and the least percentage of pocket money was spent on ice-cream. The reason that the least percentage of the money was spent on ice-cream was that ice-cream is a quite cheap product and it is not too costly. The highest percentage of the money was spent on dinner because it is quite expensive to buy dinner on weekends. The child also spent 20% of his pocket money on a movie whereas 30% of the pocket money was spent to buy a shirt. The percentage of money spent on movie was 10% more than the money spent on the shirt. The percentage of money spent on dinner was twice the percentage of money spent on movie.
The child spent most of his money on dinner because people tend to eat food at restaurants and they are often accompanied by friends and family members. The child spent a significant amount of his pocket money on buying a shirt because it is a common practice of people shop for different things.

The pie chart illustrates the proportion of money that a child spent on four different items – food, clothes, and leisure – last weekend.
At first glance, it is clear that the child’s highest percentage of his pocket money went on buying food.
It is worth noting that the child spent a significant amount of his money on a meal and frozen dessert. That very amount made up 50% of his overall weekend expenditure. However, at 40%, dinner was exactly four times as expensive as ice cream, which accounted only for 10% of the pocket money he spent. The second highest sum of money, which accounted for 30% of the full amount he had, was paid to purchase a shirt. The shirt was three times as expensive as ice cream. For his entertainment, the child spent exactly one-fifth of his pocket money on a movie ticket, which was twice less expensive than dinner.
