The IELTS academic version is attempted by the candidates who want to study in foreign colleges. The IELTS academic test is considered to be much difficult than the IELTS General training version. The Speaking and listening modules are the same for both academic and general training version.
Most of the colleges in the world require 5.5 IELTS band score for a Bachelor degree program and 6.5 for a Master Degree program. Your college might also exempt you from IELTS if they feel that your English is good.
