What are Generalizations?

Generalizations are statements which a based on few experiences. They are not always true.

Eg.  Cricket is a boring sport.

This statement is made by a person after he watched 4 boring cricket matches, but this statement is based on his own experiences and while he found the matches boring someone might have enjoyed watching them.
